About Magen Protection Group
Magen Protection Group is a Jewish-owned security firm providing licensed event security for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, galas and community events across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
We are not a guard company that happens to work Jewish events. We understand Shabbat, kashrut and the flow of a simcha, and we work alongside your planner, caterer and venue so your guests see a gracious, well-run event.
Our team is led by a 20-year NYPD veteran with intelligence experience, and every guard we field completes MAGEN READY™, our own training on threat awareness and Jewish-event protocol. We give a portion of our revenue back to Jewish causes. Our next chapter is security programs for synagogues and schools.
Who's Behind It
Co-Founder
David Roth spent twenty years in real estate, leading development, investment and operations across a portfolio of properties. He knows what it takes to run a venue well: the vendors, the schedules, the guests and the details that make a day go smoothly. He is also a licensed security guard, so he understands the work from the ground as well as from the office. At Magen, David leads the business side, including client relationships and planner partnerships.
Co-Founder
With 20 years of dedicated service in the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Jason Rosen brings extensive law enforcement experience, a strong commitment to public safety, and a deep understanding of security and risk management. Throughout his career, he developed valuable skills in threat assessment, crime prevention, emergency response, and protecting people and property. Jason is committed to applying his experience, professionalism, and attention to detail to provide reliable security solutions and peace of mind to the individuals, families, and businesses he serves. His mission is to deliver dependable protection built on trust, integrity, and years of real-world experience.
